A good but cheap city to move to in Europe.
All I need to earn a living is my laptop and a wi fi connection and I'm getting to the end of my tether with the present missus.

I keep hoping things will get better but I think I'm just going to have to accept that she's an unreasonable selfish bitch and I'll be better off elsewhere.

Budapest is tempting (and cheap) as is Lisbon. Any other suggestions?

Decent weather is a must.

Decent weather pretty much limits you to Spain or Portugal .

Istanbul is pretty good. It’ll be even better when the Turks get rid of the idiot Erdogan.

Cheers Darby, but I'd rather a place where all the women over forty don't have beards.

In fairness, a lot of the women in the Westernized parts of Turkey aren’t very different from women in the rest if Europe.

What about Greece? I would have mentioned Athens, but it’s a bit boring. Very pretty women though.

I was thinking Budapest before I opened the thread. East Europe is the way to for sure, Zagreb another one, and Slovakia, Slovenia.

Fwiw, I highly doubt you will actually follow through with it anyway, very few ever do, and even if you did I'd give you 3 months max.

If you're looking at literally leaving the country (and starting a new life on £3k) then the problem probably isn't your mrs.

Lisbon.
Lots of shared working spaces. Decent value. Access to sea and countryside plus a decent mild city in the Winter.
I like Marseille too and some of the other southern French cities are good but they are fucking French.
Cadiz is great but probs not what you’re looking for.
Palma De Majorca is low level but pleasant.
Turin is nice but cold in winter.

Belgrade is worth a shout, lots and lots of women and it is cheap. I always love it when I go there. Just be advised that you cant chat up women who are sitting with mafia looking kind of guys as they are... Mafia kind of guys and they dont like to communicate verbally.
Other than that, southern part of Italy, some smaller towns are throwing property at you if you want to move there permanently.
Alternatively join the French foreign legion. You will be in all sorts of hot spots and dont have to pay rent.
